Break the silence

It is unacceptable that even one child should be sacrificed to our silence and that is why we grown-ups, who can tell right from wrong, have the responsibility to use this knowledge in favour of all children.

What can I do in order to contribute to the protection of children against abuse or neglect?

  • I receive proper information about the exact nature of abuse and neglect and the forms these can take and I inform those in my close environment.
  • I talk to my children in the right manner about the issue of sexual abuse and I teach them to protect themselves and stand up for their rights.
  • If I suspect that a child is experiencing abuse or neglect in its environment, I call the 115 25 Helpline of the Together for Children Association and report the incident.
  • I do not shut my eyes and ears to criminal actions; I do not look away.

Children come into this world to make it a better place with their laughter, dreams and liveliness. We, in our turn, are responsible for protecting them and allowing them space and scope to blossom and do great things.

Together we can change the world and make it more beautiful and safer for all children!
