Aphrodite Stathi, Executive Director of ELIZA
Aphrodite Stathi holds a Master’s degree (MSc) from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences on Organizational and Social Psychology, and a BA in Psychology (BA) from the American College of Greece, Deree College (ACG). She has a wide range of experience in Business Development and Strategy having worked for more than 15 years as a senior executive in the fields of Market Research, Consultancy, Strategy and Communication both in Greek and multinational organizations. She is also one of the first Greek NGO Directors to receive the prestigious Marshall Memorial Fellowship (GMF) – 2017 fellow.
As the Executive Director of ELIZA since 2014, Aphrodite’s decisions and actions stem from identifying areas of need where child abuse and neglect are concerned and making the right choice on priorities thereof. She plans and implements important new collaborations, opens new lines of communication and extends the organization’s circle of friends and supporters. She encourages the people of ELIZA and all collaborators to work as a team, aiming in achieving results that can significantly benefit children in need.
Joanna Sakketa, Fundraising Director
Joanna Sakketa studied in Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB), where she took her MSc in Marketing & Communication with new technologies. She holds a BA degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the field of Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor degree in Music from the Hellenic Conservatoire. She currently studies Negotiations in Athens University of Economics & Business.
Joanna has been working for more than 15 years in multinational companies, holding executive management positions, while she has also been a member of the Cluster Management Board as Head of Marketing. Throughout her career she gained valuable experience in the field of strategic planning, market development, product and brand development and promotion.
Lately, she worked for several Greek NGO’s as Marketing manager as well as Business/Project developer. She worked as a volunteer in various fields such as: Habitat for Humanity (Bulgaria), Orphanage in Sucre (Bolivia), Special Olympics (Greece), Olympic games – Athens 2004.
As the Fundraising Director of ELIZA since 2018, Joanna Sakketa, designs and implements the fundraising strategy and budget planning in order to achieve ELIZA’s organizational objectives.
Emy Ntotsika, Project and Communications Manager
Emy Ntotsika holds a Graduate and a Master’s degree from the department of Marketing and New Technology Communications from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Through her studies, she developed not only a solid mindset regarding the strategic communication needs of organizations and brands, but also a number of adaptive skills such as conflict resolution, teamwork and adaptability.
She started working in the field of Corporate Communications in 2010, gaining valuable experience from prestigious organizations, like the PR agency V+O Group and the multinational company Procter & Gamble Co. In this environment, she developed expertise and know-how on the design of holistic communication strategies, crisis management, public affairs, as well as a wide network with key journalists. She joined ELIZA in 2016, having an active role in the conceptualization, coordination and implementation of national programs aiming at the protection of children in risk of abuse or/and neglect. In addition, she is responsible for the development and improvement of all communication flows, within and outside of ELIZA.
Emy has a long experience with children from vulnerable families, as she served as a volunteer in the “Smile of a Child” Organization, where she visited and cared for children living in the Athens Children’s Hospitals “P. & A. Kyriakou” and “Aghia Sofia”. She is also a founding member of the yearly event “A State for children” at Patras
Katerina Lambrou, Project Manager
Katerina Lambrou holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the American College of Greece (ACG)
She has worked as an administration officer and assistant director since 1982 in a variety of sectors, such as media, state agencies, consumer industry and services in the educational, financial and marketing sector.
Katerina has significant experience in office administration, and in establishing, organizing and operating enterprises and projects.
She has lived abroad for 10 years, in Korea, Israel, Japan and Indonesia, where she was involved in a number of projects including adult education programs, and voluntary work in foreign-language schools.
In March 2016, Katerina joined ELIZA as a Project Manager, after having offered her voluntary services for 2 years (secretarial and other administrative tasks).
Eleni Athanasiadi, Director of Secreteriat
Eleni Athanasiadi is a graduate of the Athens Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science. Following her university graduation, as a swimming champion, she worked as a swimming coach for 12 years, working with young children in major sports clubs like the National Athletic Club (Ethnikos G.S.), Panionios and Panellinios. For 15 years, she worked in the secretariat department of major companies (FORD-STAKOR, MOUYER).
As Chief Secretary, Eleni has served ELIZA since its foundation in 2008 and is responsible for a wide area of responsibilities.
Alexandra Siakavella, Project Assistant
Alexandra Siakavella holds a Master’s degree (MSc) from the University College of London (UCL), in Child’s Development, and a BA in Psychology from the American College of Greece, Deree College (ACG). She has completed the Child Psychology-Child Psychiatry Program from the University of Aegean. She is a trainee in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy at the Institute of Behavioral Research and Therapy (IBRT).
As a volunteer in the “Smile of a Child” Organization, she visited and cared for children living in the Athens Children’s Hospitals “P. & A. Kyriakou” and “Aghia Sofia”.
Alexandra joined ELIZA in 2018, undertaking a significant part of administrative and secretarial tasks.
Elina Koutromanou, Secretary
Elina Koutromanou is currently studying Communication & Media at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Throughout her studies she has been attending seminars related to Digital Marketing and Communication in the Digital age.
She conducted her 12-month internship at the Press office of the Bank of Greece, as a communications assistant, and has volunteered as a columnist for a news website.
